Get Answers to Your Banking Questions

I paid my credit card bill on the 31st day after the payment due date and the bank reported to a credit reporting agency that I made a late payment. Can the bank do that?

Generally, yes. Your account agreement establishes the rules for how the bank will determine that a payment is late. Review your account agreement for policies specific to your bank and your account. The bank can report all accurate information on your credit card account, including late payments, to a credit reporting agency.
